Inviting library bathed in light
As Public Library is located in the middle of the Belgian province of Limburg. The library is characterized by lots of light and warmth. The furnishing combines standard and custom-made library furniture.
The simplicity in the black and white shelving systems ensures that the books receive all the attention, while the custom-made furniture adds warmth to the library. The coloured plexiglass index blocks add a fresh touch and beautiful light effects. The many large windows ensure that the library is bathed in daylight throughout the day.
The bottom shelf of several of the shelving systems is sloping so that books placed on the lowest shelf can easily be viewed. Sufficient space is provided for the presentation of novelties and theme stands.
Appropriate signage shows the visitor the way around in this fascinating library.
