Renovated and inviting library
At Ecaussinnes Library more than 500 m² are dedicated to books in a completely renovated and modernized building. The old library of Ecaussinnes was bursting at the seams and housed in the former Sainte-Philomène retirement home, a building where other municipal services are located.
Librarian Joëlle Petitjean says: “Due to our wide range of books and media, the interior can seem a bit compressed, but in the new location there is more space. Almost half of our readers are children, so it has been very important for us to create an inviting children’s zone designed to their needs.”
