Better space planning with rearrangement of furniture
Vallensbæk Library went through a renovation in 2022 which has resulted in better use of space and a more open library.
Before, the furniture was placed very close, and it was difficult to navigate in and understand the different areas in the library. Today, new furniture and rearrangement of inventory provide new life to the library. E.g., walls and selected library furniture come in warm and soft colours that match the oak tables and shelves throughout the library. New exhibition points and cozy hang-out zones have been introduced in the youth and adult areas, which makes it more comfortable for visitors to stay in the library and easier to make your way around.
New search stations and green plants complete the look and create a nice atmosphere for visitors as well as staff.
