The library in the quarter Schloss Horst in Gelsenkirchen is designed for storing approx. 17.000 media. The project, which is designed by the architect firm Pfeiffer Kellermann Preckel, was opened in June 2013.
The library offers a comprehensive selection of media for children in all ages. Furthermore, the library offers reading programs, guided tours for school classes and events for children and is therefore also interesting for kindergartens and schools. The individual areas in the library are located on two floors, which are accessible by stairs or lift.
Schulz Speyer AG has delivered a large part of the interior, such as the shelving systems Ratio and Quadrat F as well as customized solutions in the office area.
