Accessible library with charisma
The Ter Aar library is housed in the new integrated child center De Vaart.
The design takes into consideration the collaboration of partners such as the school and childcare services, ensuring optimal utilization of the spaces. The collection is presented in a customer-friendly manner on library shelving on pedestals.
Marjolein Gouw, librarian, notes: "The previous library was notably outdated. Now, we're situated in a building where the library is strategically positioned, facilitating better connections with our collaborative partners and the residents of Ter Aar. The layout of the various spaces in the building fosters a seamless connection between different areas and the local community."
