Cozy and accessible family library tailored to the neighborhood

The library of Vorst is housed on the second floor of the former Wielemans-Ceuppens brewery. After years of expansion, the interior was in need of a makeover.
Several cozy corners have been created, with practical furniture tailored to the users.

Librarian Elise Ghyselen: “Our library is a real family library. It was therefore especially important that the interior was tailored to our young and diverse audience, and borrowers who speak other languages. Clear and visually accessible signage was essential.”

The striking orange of the floor is tempered by soft wood with white elements for a warm, dynamic yet calming appearance.
The new interior fits in perfectly with the character of Bib Vorst: a cosy, accessible family library tailored to the neighbourhood.
