A drawing re-design

After serving the citizens of Nivala in more than 30 years, the library furniture and interior was old fashioned and in need of modernization. A new interior design has now been implemented and the new library space has been used to its full potential. With its new modern facilities Nivala library is now able to provide library service for all types of users. One of the focus points is the children’s and youth department that has been extended to cater for the high share of young people living in Nivala.

The re-design creates a calm, light and modern environment with different shades of green and plants adding a cosy, homelike feeling. Book fronts are displayed on different types of library furniture to get attention and tempt library users. The new library is drawing people into the library, and feedback has been positive from adults and children alike.
