Warm and welcoming library where everyone feels at home
After floods of 2021 destroyed the old library, the community of Trooz found hope in a new beginning. Fortunately, plans were already in place to relocate the library to the newly constructed school building. Today, the library stands as a light-filled, modern space, adorned with vibrant colours and thoughtfully designed round furniture that softens the sleek, linear design.
Every aspect of the interior has been carefully planned to make the best use of the available space and cater to its diverse visitors. Given its location within a school, special attention has been devoted to creating a haven for young readers, encouraging their love for books and learning.
Murielle Morleghem, representing the municipality of Trooz, shares her excitement: “Visitors are thrilled with their new library. The growing interest speaks for itself. School classes regularly visit for various activities and often ask to return! The library is bright, warm and inviting. It truly feels like home.”
This new library exemplifies the power of thoughtful design to create a space where every visitor feels welcomed and inspired.
