Redevelopment of library

Inaugurated in 1977, the André Malraux Public library has undergone a modernisation in 2020.

This modernisation made it possible to rethink the distribution of space as regard to new uses and the behaviour of the public. The furniture on the three levels, positioned around a central staircase, is predominantly white with a strong colour that personalizes each level.

Finally, several smaller projects around the library have made it possible to develop new practices for greater autonomy and a better quality of service. These include the construction of a work room, the layout of the terrace, and the integration of self-service machines.

We have also worked on improving the overall visibility inside the library by reducing the heights of the shelving systems and using curved shelving systems.
