Strict lines and warm wooden materials in beautiful combination
”Like sitting outside” is what you are tempted to think when entering the library at Esbjerg Hospital, a combination of a library and a study area for the medical master’s degree.
We have designed and manufactured special inventory in oak tree which makes the library appear as a beautiful wrapped wooden unit and a feeling of sitting “outside”.
The wood provides a warm contrast to the glass and concrete building. Over the years, the wood will get some patina which will result in a “real” and unique expression. We have delivered the round shelving systems as well as the large oak study tables where the students can sit, either together or individually. All the wiring has been nicely hidden, tucked away inside the tables.
The partitioning walls between the tables allow room for peace and absorption. The students can work in a nice and comfortable environment where the warm materials and the natural light have a beautiful impact.
