Les Sorinières Public Library, France

The Echappée media library in Les Sorinières opened in September 2022, after more than 1 ½ year of renovation.

The library has a strong environmental dimension with an "eco-responsible" interior. Designed by architects Tetrarc, this new public facility is a breathing space for families of all ages. The building is built around a green heart, with existing trees in the garden and new elements planted. A garden forms a direct extension of the media library, with a shared vegetable garden and a 1,000 m² space.

The media library and the interior design are characterized by a choice of raw, sober, and durable materials both industrial and recycled, to create different atmospheres.
